A Special Campaign Honoring All Who Give
April 15, 2021
We are excited to let you know about a new fundraising campaign to keep a special tree sculpture here in Evergreen, and our partnership with Mount Evans Home Health Care and Hospice to make this happen.

This sculpture has been part of our Sculpture Walk for the past two years and is currently at the Evergreen Post Office. Beautifully crafted by artist Ted Wilson, it will be relocated on June 4 to a newly created garden area by the front door of the Mount Evans HHC&H building along Bergen Peak Drive. It will then become part of Sculpture Evergreen's permanent collection.

This piece honors the memory of Susan Stearns - a tireless and generous community volunteer who died in January - and all who embody the spirit of giving. The tree represents qualities that characterize our special place here in Colorado: strength, support, and deep roots; creation, growth, and vitality. This new sculpture is dedicated to everyone who has, especially during this pandemic, cared for others, donated time and resources, and helped to make our community strong and resilient. We will be renaming the sculpture from Tree to Spirit of Giving, and see it as representing the difference that individuals, organizations, and our community can make in each of our lives through the joy of giving and the joy of life.

Please donate now to add Spirit of Giving to our community's collection of outdoor sculptures. Our goal is to raise $45,000. Donations of any amount are much appreciated. Donors contributing $5000 or more will receive an 18" sculpture resembling the larger tree. Donors contributing $2500 or more will be listed on the bronze plaque installed next to the sculpture.
